TOO MUCH OLD TBILISI

I finally overstayed in the wonderful heights of Svanetia which meant that I had just few hours left in Tbilisi, a capital city I really wanted to feel for one reason or another. My obvious decision was to forget about time for a while and dive camera in hand in the alleged charm of the ancient part of town. Later, examining the photos on my way to the airport, I kept thinking that if it was the old what I had looked for during my brief stroll, I should not complain. But the images were showing a gloomy side too: so much old resulting from the lack of maintenance that this residential part of the city desperately needs could only mean the typical scenario where an unfortunate community lives condemned to poverty and, ultimately, to the rigours of gentrification. ©flc54
